Nocatee and inland Ponte Vedra are in St. Johns County, not Duval, even when a delivery slip says Jacksonville. Schools, the sheriff, and county water are St. Johns County services. County offices are in St. Augustine.

Electric utility based at Jacksonville Beach city hall. It serves customers in Duval and St. Johns counties, including Jacksonville Beach. Atlantic Beach electric customers are told to call JEA instead. Check the name on your bill.
Police, fire, and medical emergencies. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says you can text 911 when you cannot safely talk, and that a text is handled with the same priority as a call.
