What this site stores.

This policy was written on October 14, 2026, for the first edition of LocalJax. The note on paid mentions was added October 15, 2026.

You can read the whole handbook without an account. The site does not ask you to create one. It does not run analytics and it does not show ads.

If you join the newsletter

The form emails your address, an optional ZIP code, and the time you submitted it to hello@localjax.com. A delivery service passes the message to that inbox. That list is for sending LocalJax updates. It is not sold. You can ask to be removed by email or through the suggestion form.

If you send a suggestion

The form emails whatever you type to hello@localjax.com: the topic, the details, and your name and email if you include them. A delivery service passes the message to that inbox. Those notes are used to correct or add a listing. Do not include a Social Security number, a full account number, or anything else you would not want in an email.

If you email a public office

Email you send to a Florida government office, including the mayor and city council, is generally a public record. LocalJax does not receive that mail. If you do not want your address released, call the office or send a letter. Several of those offices say this on their own sites.

Before ads

If advertising is added later, this page will be updated first. Ad networks set their own cookies. They are not on the site today. A paid mention on the local list, if one is accepted later, will be labeled on that page. That label does not turn on ad cookies.
