911
Police, fire, and medical emergencies. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says you can text 911 when you cannot safely talk, and that a text is handled with the same priority as a call.

Use 911 anywhere in Duval, Clay, and St. Johns. If a call will not connect, JFRD has told residents that dispatchers can see missed 911 calls and that text-to-911 is available. Do not text 911 to ask for a phone number.
